When ESPN brought its annual summer X Games to Austin, Texas, the sports network found the heat as extreme as the competitions. The 90°F (32°C) temperatures made the event uncomfortable and potentially dangerous for the athletes and 160,000 spectators. The world’s most elite extreme sports event needed an equally extreme cooling solution.
Big Ass Fans® brought the big air, cutting through the heat with more than 30 Black Jack, AirGo® and Yellow Jacket® portable fans. Ranging between 30 in. (76 cm) to 8 ft. (2.4 m) in diameter, these mobile fans cooled guests and athletes alike. Massive airflow and misting kits throughout the venue shifted the focus from the intense Texas climate to the extreme competition.
