The popular Aussie TV show The Block features couples competing to renovate houses and auction them off for the highest price. On the 13th season, Ronnie & Georgia stood out as possibly the most competitive — as well as creative and enthusiastic — team to ever appear on the series. The Western Australia couple put their blood, sweat and tears into creating their luxurious house in the Melbourne suburb of Elsternwick. Before coming onto The Block, Ronnie & Georgia had already renovated and sold 10 properties, so the pair definitely had a competitive edge and understood the importance of top-of-the-line finishes. From heated toilet seats to a splashy ten-tonne outdoor pool, this team wouldn’t settle for anything less than perfection, including on their ceiling.
Ronnie had heard about Big Ass products before entering The Block, and as soon as he learned of an attic and garage in the floor plan he knew he wanted Big Ass Light LEDs for their house. “I liked how bright the LED lights were, and the brightness was super important to us as we only had a small window,” says Ronnie. “Other competitors’ lights just weren’t going to cut it.” Meanwhile, Georgia was focused on a solution for the high pitched roof. “I liked the idea of fans to circulate the air without having the air con on. And I was trying to match the wood of my furniture, so the Haiku in bamboo was another style element that brought it all together.” Ronnie adds that the material of our fans sold him. “Best fan material there is!”
